At Camden Music, we love to support new music. On 22nd and 23rd January, Eleanor Palmer and Netley Primary School children worked with composer Kerry Andrew to create unique ‘Camden’ sounds.

As part of our preparations for the Schools’ Music Festival at the Royal Albert Hall, we have been working with Kerry Andrew to create a new version of their piece ‘No Place Like’, which was commissioned as part of the the BBC Ten Pieces project.
Part of the piece involves the children performing loops of sounds that remind them of home. To create these sounds, we worked with groups of children at Eleanor Palmer and Netley Primary Schools. The children were highly creative and came up with sounds ranging from football chants to traffic and sirens.
The children really enjoyed the workshops, and we’d like to say a massive thank you to Kerry Andrew and the school staff.
